Designer Spotlight: Fakolujo Okikiola Gbolahan of OGF Graphics (Lagos, Nigeria)
Let’s shine the light on a multi-talented creative, Fakolujo Okikiola Gbolahan, the dynamic force behind OGF Graphics. More than just a designer, Okiki is a journalist, content writer, sub editor, and former feature editor for D Gong Newspaper, the official press arm of Ogun State Institute of Technology.
Serving as editor for both the 2023 and 2024 sets, Fakolujo knows how to blend words with visuals and that storytelling magic is now powering his journey into graphic design.
🎨 Where Passion Meets Encouragement
Armed with Pixellab as his favorite tool, what truly pushes Okiki forward are the words from his biggest fans, his mum and dad:
“They always tell me to keep on moving and not relent.”
It’s that constant family support that fuels his creative fire. And when asked for his guiding quote?
“Que sera sera (whatever will be, will be).”
A reminder to trust the journey, while still putting in the work.
💠What He Learned During the 3-Day Challenge
In the Lumina Creatives Designers 3 Days Design Challenge, Fakolujo gained something many overlook:
“What I learnt is what I term as critical thinking...”
This simple yet deep realization shows how the challenge sparked deeper levels of creativity, decision-making, and intentional design thinking.
😄 A Light-Hearted Message to the Team:
“Nothing much to tell them...except when will another challenge come up?”
We hear you, Okiki. The creativity bug has bitten hard and the design world is better for it. 🙌
